I live in a beautiful complex, and it's perfect for visitors, but I have to say I'm also looking forward to moving somewhere else in May this year. Marbella? Who knows. 

The bench

I have had lots of visitors here in Spain! Natasha, Hallvard and Anna have just left after a very nice week here, and one thing I realised when they were here was how all my guests probably end up with pictures from the very same places. One of these places is the famous benches in Parque Alameda in Marbella. Here are some selected guests in the famous foto shoot park!

Even prouder: 94.75%

The results are here! My Spanish exam at the Instituto de Cervantes, level A1. It's the lowest level, but I'm still very proud of what I have achieved!! My total results were: 94.75% and here is a breakdown of the results.

Reading comprehension: 22/25
Writing: 25/25
Listening: 24/25
Speaking: 23.75/25

I have got lots of pictures from the Oliver musical at Aloha but I can't post them here, of course, since there are pictures of the students. So here's a picture of the proud teachers involved instead.

Sunny Saturday

This picture shows Mariela and me enjoying a nice coffee break at the Cambridge seminar (at Hotel El Fuerte in Marbella) this morning. It's hard to work on a Saturday, but with the nice break in the sun with the view of the Mediterranean, and the lovely lunch in the sun afterwards, and some other nice things (...) we kind of managed!! :) And tonight I'm going out with my new friend from Norway!!! Can't believe I'm finally going to speak Norwegian down here. Yeah yeah yeah!

It's a fine life

These two videoes are posted in honour of all the fantastic Aloha students who are participating in our superb Oliver production!! We've had two shows, and there's one go to (tomorrow night). They have been absolutely fabolous!!!! They are great actors, singers and dancers! Well done!! I love being part of this production!!

I also think it's very important for the students to see their teachers in other roles as well; not only the normal classroom situation. We had auditions in October last year and the drama teacher and music teacher have been working really really hard with them. The dance teacher and myself have been more involved after Christmas, and gosh how we've enjoyed it!!!

Kaffe

Jeg har vært syk noen dager (magevirus+++) og hatt begrenset matlyst. En av tingene jeg da mister fullstendig lysten på er kaffe. Utrolig, men sant!!



Nå har jeg akkurat drukket min første kopp med kaffe siden tirsdag, og gjenforeningsgleden var stor!!

En god søndag. Hurra for samene.

I dag er samenes nasjonaldag. Og her er et bilde av flagget deres. Jeg har hatt en god søndag og egentlig ikke tenkt så mye på samene, men pytt pytt.

 

Min dag har vært veldig bra på mange plan, og her er et lite resyme av den såkalte hvileedagen min. (Hvem har sagt at hviledager eksisterer for lærere?!??!?!)

• Knallsol, godt og varmt, røde kinn og en fregne på nesa 
• Hagearbeid i den lille hagen min (som så ut som en eventyrhage inntil jeg satte i gang med saksa i formiddag!) 
• Stranda med mine gode naboer som nå har flyttet til San Pedro; alltid bra å se ting fra barns perspektiv, og Lucas og Jax er to skjønne små gutter som det var gøy å være på stranda med i dag.
• Madonna på radioen på full guffe i bilen på vei til trening
• Deilig treningsøkt
• Rette en haug med essay
• Lang og god prat med min gode venn Marit på Skype
• Hører på svenske sangdamer av topp kvalitet på Spotify nå: Robyn og Agnes. Har til og med laget egen spilleliste for dem. (Digitaliseringsprosessen når nye høyder!!)
• Oppsummering: Livet er godt og jeg er klar for en ny uke!!
